## Research Interestsstable commutator length, which - is a relative version of the Gromov-Thurston norm,
- is dual to quasimorphisms,
- captures geometric and dynamical information of (large) groups, and
- can be used to find surface subgroups (in some hyperbolic groups for instance).
mapping class groups of infinite-type surfaces, - which are essentially surfaces with infinitely generated fundamental groups,
- such as the plane/sphere minus a Cantor set, which occurs naturally in dynamics (e.g. complex dynamics or kleinian groups).
I am interested in geometric topology, geometric group theory and dynamics. Topics I specifically studied include: ## Seminars |
